Newborn baby boy H ~ RI Newborn Photography

“A rainbow baby is a baby born shortly after the loss of a previous baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth or death in infancy. This term is given to these special rainbow babies because a rainbow typically follows a storm, giving us hope of what’s to come.”

When I ever read this mama’s email, I immediately filled up. My heart absolutely broke reading her story and everything she and her family have gone through over the past few years. This precious baby boy is her rainbow baby, so joyfully welcomed into their family after such unspeakable losses. I am so thrilled that I was able to meet and photograph this little angel and his beautiful family, they were so gracious and so in love… it was a very special day. I truly felt like I was walking on a cloud the rest of the day, that this work is exactly what I’m meant to be doing. Little baby H was 3 weeks old at his session and an absolute angel the entire time. Big sister E was equally as angelic and literally THE most well behaved and sweetest 3 yr old I’ve ever photographed. Hands down! I am just so happy that we were able to capture these moments for this sweet mama and wonderful family. Congratulations again on your beautiful family!

This text from baby H’s mama after seeing a sneak peak of their gallery brought me to tears:

“Hi Lauren, it was an absolute joy meeting you! I am speechless on what to even say except… thank you. Tim asked me at one point, ‘Are you happy?’ meaning with the photo shoot and I started tearing up and said ‘Yes.’ I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to handle and photograph our little love and family. I’m losing it over that preview! You have pulled every heart string I have with your wonderful work.”

Newborn baby R ~ Rhode Island Newborn Photographer

I was so thrilled when my old college friend emailed me with the wonderful news that she was expecting. She is one of those people that put you right at ease, can always put a smile on your face and make you laugh, just a delight to be around. I couldn’t be happier for her if I tried! Her sweet baby boy couldn’t be any more precious either. Oh, my heart this little one. Between the porcelain skin, the sweet little lips, and those precious smiles… oh, he just absolutely melted me. We had such a wonderful time during his Newborn session, and were able to capture so many special portraits and he was such an angel baby the whole time. My newborn sessions are always so special, but when they are with an old friend and their new little one, well… its even more of a treat.

Welcome to the world little RJ, everyone is so very, very thrilled you are here. Congratulations S family, I am so thrilled for all three of you!

Newborn baby boy ~ baby L~ RI Newborn photography

Sweet, sweet baby. Precious teeny tiny baby L came to visit the studio with his parents and precious big brother, for his Swaddle session and I just about fell in love. Just take a look at those delicate little fingers, and that exquisite little face. And he gave me so many sleepy little smiles. This sweet boy slept like a dream throughout his entire session and just made my job so easy! Mama brought in a very special blanket that was handmade for Luke by his great grandmother, so special. Luke’s daddy serves in the US Navy and we captured an extra special portrait for him. Luke’s session was ended up taking place about a week before Veteran’s day, so it was even more special. We thank Luke’s daddy and all veterans, now and always for your service and sacrifice. Congratulations again to Luke’s wonderful family on another beautiful baby boy!
